Caught a beautiful September sunset on Gig Harbor in Washington. Mount Rainier was out and could be clearly seen in the cold air. Fortunately there was enough cloud cover to catch the pink hues just before we lost the light. A perfect Pacific Northwest fall evening!
Tumalo Falls is a 97-ft. tall waterfall in the Deschutes National Forest. A fun drive out of Bend, then you reach a gravel road that goes for a few miles. A word of advice, just park when you start seeing cars on the side of the road. The road easily gets congested and the biggest headache getting to these falls is parking. The trail is short, and there are many different ways to view this “most waterfall-like waterfall.” Highly recommend!

After an easy hike to the falls the hardest part was getting this shot! The constant raining from the falls made keeping my camera dry an issue. Plus, I wish my tripod would have been six inches taller! An absolutely beautiful area that I hope to visit again.
